Who we are

At Central Florida Psych Solutions we believe meaningful educational support begins with connection, understanding, and partnership. Our work is grounded in the belief that when students and families feel truly seen, affirmed, and supported, clarity follows; and with clarity comes a path forward.

We specialize in strength-based, collaborative educational evaluations and guidance, designed to help families and schools better understand how a student learns, thinks, and experiences the world. Our approach is not about fixing or labeling—it’s about building shared understanding and creating thoughtful, actionable plans that honor each child’s strengths, needs, and potential.

Central Florida Psych Solutions was founded by two experienced Florida school psychologists who share a deep commitment to neurodiversity-affirming practice, inclusion, and family-centered collaboration.

Sheryl Posey, SSP

Sheryl Posey, SSP, is a public School Psychologist with 22 years of experience spanning two states and all levels of schooling, from Pre-K through high school.  Whether through evaluation, parent education, coaching, or psychoeducational groups, her focus has always been strengths-based and child-centered.

Ms. Posey completed her graduate degree at Illinois State University in 2001, while working in a group home for children with significant mental health challenges. She has since celebrated with athletes at the Special Olympics and has attended the graduations of students who never believed they would walk across the stage. Ms. Posey has worked with children with varying levels of need, including significant medical or behavioral and emotional challenges, low incidence disabilities, ADHD, autism, and learning differences.

When a social emotional curriculum did not exist for children with intellectual disabilities, Ms. Posey used her knowledge of child development to create lessons specifically for the children in her school. She is a fierce advocate for inclusion and began a facilitated play program for students with special needs in her elementary school. Her patience, empathy, and caring nature help her connect with children and motivate them to do their best.
